- The purpose of self-realization is clearly stated in the Fifteenth Chapter of the Bhagavad-gita (BG 15.15): the purpose of studying the Vedas is to know Lord Krsna, the primeval cause of everything. BG 1972 purports
- The purpose of studying the Upanisads is to understand the transcendental qualities of the Absolute Truth, as opposed to the material qualities of ignorance, passion and goodness
- The real qualification of a medical practitioner can be obtained only through strenuous study of medical science for a considerably long period, and only upon completion of his studies can he take up the medical profession
- The Sankhya philosophy of the atheist Kapila, which is a material philosophy, is simply the study of the twenty-four elements

- The transcendental forms of the Lord are beyond the reach of the impersonalists, who can only understand, through the studies of the Upanisads, that the Absolute Truth is not matter and that the Absolute Truth is not materially restricted

- Unbiased men of the highest echelon should study the principles of the Krsna consciousness movement and fully cooperate with this movement to save human society

- We may study that this man died and that man died, etc., and after seeing that so many men have died we may conclude or generalize that all men are mortal, but there is a major defect in this inductive method, and that is that our experience is limited
- We meet such Mayavadis who criticize our method of chanting & accuse us of not being interested in study. They do not know that we have translated volumes & volumes of books into English & that the students in our temples regularly study them
- We say there are 900,000 forms of life within the water. We have not gone within the water; neither as biologist we have studied. We have taken the perfect information from the perfect source. We say 900,000. This is called Vedic knowledge
- We should divide our society in such a way that somebody, some group of men is engaged in studying the dharma principle and spreading it. Just like we have taken the principle, generally, to spread what is meant by real dharma

- What is the use of studying Vedas if you do not understand Krsna? Because the ultimate goal of education means to understand the Supreme Lord, the supreme father, the supreme cause
- What is your metaphysical study about the living animals that you say there is no soul?
- When a boy goes to school, he has to follow the rules & regulations, but after a while he becomes accustomed to them and does not have to be taught. In other words, he learns automatically to come to school at a certain time, take his seat & study nicely
- When he (Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya) later returned to Navadvipa (after learning logic from a professor of Mithila in Bihar) he established a school for the study of logic, thus diminishing the importance of Mithila
- When he saw Devahuti looking at the gigantic, opulent palace with a displeased heart, Kardama Muni could understand her feelings because he could study the heart of anyone. Thus he personally addressed his wife as follows
- When I lectured in the Massachusetts Technological College, so I inquired that "Where is that technology to study the mover?" But they have no such arrangement
- When Lord Balarama saw that Romaharsana Suta did not understand the highest principle of religion in spite of his having studied all the Vedas, He certainly could not support his position
- When one advances in research work by studying a limited substance within the limits of space and time, one is amazed by the various wonderful cosmic manifestations, and naturally one goes on hypnotically accepting the path of research work

- When the scientist philosopher medical man will get the opportunity to study systematically what is God, what are His energies, what is my relationship, how to approach Him, then only there will be paradise
- When we quit this gross body, the subtle body carries me to another gross body. This is the law of transmigration. It is not the question of belief. It is a fact that if we neglect to study this scientific knowledge, then we are missing the opportunity

- Yoga-bhrasta, means one who falls down... But there is no cause of falling down if we are strict. Just like if a student is studying nicely, he will pass his examination. Where is the difficulty there?
- You are all educated men. You study this philosophy, try to understand; also join. It is your duty, because you are Indian. Caitanya Mahaprabhu entrusted this mission to the Indians. Indians are meant for doing good to others. That is Caitanya's mission
- You are part and parcel of God, the chemical composition in drop of water from the sea is the same. In the sea it is in bigger quantity, and in the drop in smaller quantity. And therefore your composition you can study, and the same things are there
- You are studying Vedanta. So what is Vedanta?
- You cannot directly approach God. That is useless. You have no power to approach God directly. That is not possible. Let them study this philosophy. We have got books, enough books. One cannot read all these books even throughout whole life
- You do not study all these things. You become initiated . . . there are ten kinds of offenses. Do you have any regard for these things or not? You must avoid these ten kinds of offenses. The first offense is to disobey the orders of guru
- You have created the great literature Mahabharata, in which everything is there. - Jijnasitam adhitam ca. - And not only simply you have inquired, but you have studied fully
- You have to become God conscious. Then you will understand what is God. It is not a so trifle thing you ask me and in one minute, you understand God. That is foolishness. You have to study the science of God. God is not so cheap
- You manufacture watch, but at the same time, you try to study the active principle, who is the watchmaker. I am seeing the watch with the eyes, but as soon as the active principle is gone, no more seeing. Where is that science?
- You remain Christian, but what is the harm to study other literatures where more informations are there? That is quite reasonable. We are not asking you to become Hindus
- You study any part of your body, you will find that the part of body belongs to you. You'll say: "It is my leg, my hand, my hair, my nose." So many things "my." Then where is the "I"? That is called jnana, knowledge. Everything is "my," but where I am?
- You study, and chant this Hare Krsna mantra like this, and that is the following the footsteps of Gosvamis. Acaryopasana. We have to worship the acaryas. That is recommended in the Bhagavad-gita for making progress in spiritual life
- Your (Vyasadeva) inquiries were full and your studies were also well fulfilled, and there is no doubt that you have prepared a great and wonderful work, the Mahabharata, which is full of all kinds of Vedic sequences elaborately explained
