- A big lawyer means who is quite aware of the laws of the state. Similarly, a religious person means who knows completely, at least - partially also - the laws of God. That is dharmic. That is dharma

- If one commits criminal activities, the state will punish him. Sometimes, however, a criminal may escape punishment by the state, but this is not the case with God's law
- If one is an administrator, statesman, warrior, politician, etc., then one should try to establish the Lord's supremacy in statesmanship. Fight for the cause of the Lord as Sri Arjuna did
- If one transgresses the laws of a man-made government, he may escape being killed by the state, but one cannot escape the laws of God. A killer of any animal must be killed in his next life by the same animal. This is the law of nature

- Narada Muni did not inquire from the King about his liberation, but only regarding the state management, which is meant for advancement of the three principles religiosity, economic development and sense gratification
- No friend, no children, no father, no brother, no state and no one else can protect a person who is not protected by the Lord. One should, therefore, seek the protection of the Supreme Lord, for the human form of life is meant for seeking that protection

- Secular state means that the state should see that everyone is strictly following his religious principle. That is secular state. If you are Hindu or varnasrami, then you must follow the principles of how one is a brahmana, how one is a ksatriya
- Secular state means the state must be very vigilant whether everyone is doing his duty, everyone is employed in his duty; and if everyone is not employed, it is the duty of the government to see. He must be employed
- She (Gandhari) desired that the state be divided into two parts for the sons of Pandu and her own. She was very affected when all her sons died in the Battle of Kuruksetra, and she wanted to curse Bhimasena & Yudhisthira, but she was checked by Vyasadeva

- Sudra means those who are neither brahmana nor ksatriya nor vaisyas. They are simply worker, assistant. So there must be division like this. The brahmanas should guide the ksatriyas, and the ksatriyas will administer the state

- That (Maharaja Pariksit's) is the way of good government. The disturbing elements like the personality of Kali will always try to extend their nefarious activities, but it is the duty of the able state to check them by all means
- That a murderer is condemned to a death sentence by the state is good for the culprit because in his next life he will not have to suffer for his act of murder
- That is dharma, discipline, to abide by the state laws. There must be some discipline. Similarly, to make yourself advanced to spiritual life, you must have to observe the discipline. Without discipline, it is not possible
- That is the way of wiping out corruption in the state (not allow the friend of irreligiosity to flourish), and not otherwise. The friends of irreligiosity should be banished from the state, and that will save the state from corruption

- The solution is we have to surrender unto the Supreme. Just like if you are arrested by the police, then it is very difficult to get out of their clutches. But if you are a good citizen, surrendered soul to the state, there is no problem
- The son of Krti was Uparicara Vasu, and among his sons, headed by Brhadratha, were Kusamba, Matsya, Pratyagra and Cedipa. All the sons of Uparicara Vasu became rulers of the Cedi state

- The story (Vidura's) is narrated as follows. Once upon a time the state police caught some thieves who had concealed themselves in the hermitage of Manduka Muni. The police constables, as usual, arrested all the thieves and Manduka Muni along with them

- This is, means, mamsa. You cannot escape this. "Life for life." That is the law everywhere. If you have murdered somebody, you must be killed also. So you can escape the so-called state laws, but you cannot escape the laws of the material nature
- This kingdom (Manipura) is a very old, aristocratic Vaisnava kingdom. If this kingdom is organized as a Vaisnava state, this revitalization will be a great success because for five thousand years this state has maintained its identity
- This Krsna consciousness movement is spiritual communism. The material communism, which is going on, that is defective, because this Communist movement is centered around the state
