- O most pious mother, I shall now explain unto you the ancient yoga system, which I explained formerly to the great sages. It is serviceable and practical in every way
- Of course, any yoga system, we cannot say it is third class, fourth class, but when we make comparative study, there must be something better or something inferior
- One can transfer oneself to many planets by this yoga system, but anywhere he goes he will find visa systems and customs systems. To go to other planets, one must be qualified
- One cannot suddenly remember the Supreme Lord at death unless he is practiced in some yoga system, especially the system of bhakti-yoga. BG 1972 purports
- One does not have to realize Paramatma by the yoga system, for the devotee always thinking of Vasudeva is the topmost yogi - yoginam api sarvesam - BG 6.47
- One has to become faithful by practicing the controlling process of the yoga system and must elevate himself to the platform of unalloyed devotional service by chanting and hearing about Me
- One may argue that one may achieve the ultimate goal of life - realization of the Supersoul - by practicing the yoga system and ritualistic performances according to the Vedic principles, even without staunch devotion to the spiritual master
- One may enjoy fruitive activities, liberation, jnana, or the perfection of the yoga system, but if one becomes very intelligent he will give up all these paths and engage himself in sincere devotional service to the Lord
- One practices the yoga system to raise the soul to the topmost part of the head. This practice goes on while one is living, and the perfection is reached when one can place himself on the top of the head and then break through
- One who always thinks of Krsna within the core of his heart is the best yogi. By practicing this best of all yoga systems, one is liberated from the material condition
- One who could not finish this yoga system of Krsna consciousness, he gets his life again as a human being in very rich family or in a very pure family
- One who is bereft of devotional service is swallowed by the black snake of the yoga system and bitten by the wasps and drones of fruitive activity, and he suffers consequent material miseries
- One who performs this yoga system, how to increase love for Krsna, that's all, then you understand everything. The Vedas, they confirm it. Yasmin vijnate sarvam evam vijnatam bhavanti. If you simply understand Krsna
- Other yoga system there must be mixture of bhakti. But bhakti-yoga is unadulterated devotion
- Otherwise, how could He (Krsna) remember that He first taught the yoga system of the Bhagavad-gita to the sun-god, Vivasvan? Therefore, He never dies. Nor does He ever become an old man
- Our Krsna consciousness movement we are teaching our students, how to fix up the mind always in Krsna, some way or other. That is the first-class yoga system
- Our position is, we learn from Bhagavad-gita that we have to increase our attachment for God, Krsna, mayy asakta. This is the perfect process of yoga system
- Our tongue is never satisfied. But it is not unusual in India to see a yogitake only a small spoonful of rice a day and nothing more. Nor can one execute the meditational yoga system if one sleeps too much or does not sleep sufficiently
- Our yoga system is not like that, that we whole day, twenty-three hours and forty-five minutes, I engage myself in all nonsensical activities, and fifteen minutes I concentrate my mind, the meditation. That kind of yoga system is not here
P
- Patanjali, as he is, he takes practically, that without devotion of God, there is no success of yoga. Thus the yoga system has come to have both a theoretical and practical interest in the divine will
- Patanjali, one of the greatest authorities on the yoga system, has tried to conceive an imaginary form of the Supreme Lord
- Perfection of the yoga system is the attainment of freedom from material existence and not some magical jugglery or gymnastic feats to befool innocent people. BG 1972 purports
- Practicing the yoga system of exercise and breath control is very difficult for a person in this age, and therefore Lord Caitanya recommended (CC Adi 17.31) , kirtaniyah sada harih
- Pure devotional service is transcendental in nature, and the systems of yoga and jnana are subordinate to such a process
R
- Real process is to concentrate the mind upon the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Dhyanavasthita-tad-gatena manasa pasyanti yam yoginah. The yogi's business is, by controlling the mind, focus it toward Krsna or Lord Visnu. That is real yoga system
- Real yoga system is to find out within the heart where is God. My business is that I've forgotten God. The karmis, they . . . karmis, real karmis, they do not forget. The upstarts, the rascals, they forget
- Regarding the hatha-yoga system, which aims at the localized aspect of the Lord, Paramatma, it has been experienced that many yogis, such as Visvamitra, fall down
S
- Sa gunan samatityaitan brahma-bhuyaya kalpate (BG 14.26). For every item in the yoga system there is a parallel activity in bhakti-yoga, but practice of bhakti-yoga is easier for this age. What was introduced by Lord Caitanya is not a new interpretation
- Sages said, "All great mystic yogis endeavor to revive their Krsna consciousness by mature practice of the yoga system just to understand Your lotus feet"
- Simply by chanting the holy name of God, one can attain that perfect self-realization which was attained by the yoga system in the Satya-yuga, by performance of great sacrifices in the Treta-yuga, and by large-scale temple worship in the Dvapara-yuga
- Simply by understanding Krsna you become well aware of everything, this yoga system
- Simply by worshiping Krsna one can easily achieve all the results of heavenly opulence, liberation, supremacy over the planetary systems of the universe, all the opulences of this material world, and the mystic power of performing the yoga system
- So actually this yoga system (hatha yoga) is very, very difficult. It may be possible by some solitary man, but for the general mass of people it is not possible
- So don't be misled by these bluffers' yoga system. Don't be misled. Here is yoga, Krsna, because yoga means to meditate upon the Supreme, dhyanavasthita-tad-gatena manasa, mind fully absorbed, and they see Krsna or Narayana, the same thing
- So the first step of yoga system, as recommended by Krsna, the supreme authority, is one has to select a very secluded place and sacred place. The astanga-yoga meditation cannot be performed in a fashionable city
- So-called yoga practices of voidism and impersonalism are not recommended in any standard yoga-sastra. The real yogi is the devotee because his mind is always concentrated on pastimes of Lord Krsna. Therefore Krsna consciousness is the topmost yoga system
- Some of the yogis, they are so expert that they can take out the intestine from the abdomen and clear it and put it again. Yes. These are the perfection of yoga system
- Svadhyayah means - reading the authorized Vedic scriptures. Even if one is not Krsna conscious and is practicing the yoga system, he must read standard Vedic literatures in order to understand. Performance of yoga alone is not sufficient
T
- Tattvatah means in truth. To understand Krsna in truth, that requires bhakti or bhakti-yoga, not the jnana-yoga or karma-yoga, hatha-yoga or any other yoga system
- That is yoga-siddhi, not merely showing some gymnastic process. No. One must be... That yoga-siddhi, it is not possible in this age because people are not expert to practice this yoga system
- The alternative system of bhakti-yoga is very easy not only in this age but in others as well, for this yoga system was advocated long ago by Lord Siva when he advised the princes, the sons of Maharaja Pracinabarhisat
- The astanga-yoga system is a materialistic art of controlling air by transferring it from the stomach to the navel, from the navel to the heart, from the heart to the collarbone, from there to the eyeballs, from there to the cerebellum
- The astanga-yoga system is also materialistic, inasmuch as it teaches one to control the movements of air within the material body
- The Bhagavad-gita was spoken to Arjuna, not to any Vedantist philosophical speculator. In the beginning of the Fourth Chapter, you will note that Krsna says, "I am speaking to you that ancient system of yoga." It is stated, - unto you
- The bhakti-yoga system is authorized, and if you want to know about God, then you have to adopt this bhakti-yoga system because in the Sixth Chapter of BG it is concluded that the topmost yogi is he who is always thinking of Krsna within himself
- The bhakti-yoga system is just like an arrow aiming up to the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- The bhakti-yoga system is not to be practiced for transferral to any material planet
- The bhakti-yoga system is the topmost yoga system, and in this system the chanting of the holy name of the Lord is the foremost performance of devotional service
- The conclusion is that Narayana, or the Personality of Godhead, is the ultimate destination for all kinds of yoga systems as well as all kinds of liberation
- The culmination of all yogas lies in bhakti-yoga, the rendering of devotional service unto Krsna. Actually, all of the yogas delineated in Bhagavad-gita end on this note, for Krsna is the ultimate destination of all the yoga systems
- The devotee follows the best yoga system of God-realization, which is enunciated in the Bhagavad-gita. His activities are not selfishly motivated, aimed at realizing his own cherished dreams, but are directed toward fulfilling the will of God
- The devotees especially see the Lord in the beautiful blackish form of Śyāmasundara. That is the perfection of yoga. This yoga system should be continued until the mind does not vacillate for a moment
- The dhira stage is attained after prolonged practice of the yoga system, but by the grace of Vidura one can attain the stage immediately simply by willing to adopt the means of the dhira stage, which is the preparatory stage for sannyasa
- The different parts of the bhakti-yoga system are accepting service to Him, carrying out His orders, making friendship with Him and ultimately surrendering everything for the service of the Lord
- The different parts of the bhakti-yoga system are hearing, chanting, remembering, offering prayers, worshiping the Lord in the temple
- The expert yogi who has thoroughly practiced the control of the life air by the prescribed method of the yoga system is advised to quit the body as follows
- The first understanding of the Absolute Truth is impersonal Brahman, brahma-darsanam. Then, if you can make further progress, then you will see that Absolute Truth within your heart by yoga system
- The first-class yogi who has attained perfection in the practice of the yoga system ultimately passes through the brahma-randhra to any one of the planets in either the material or spiritual worlds
- The generally accepted method for transferral to higher planets is the practice of the meditational yoga system or jnana system
- The Gita is coming down in disciplic succession: - I first of all instructed this yoga system to the sun-god Vivasvan, who taught it to Manu, who taught it to Iksvaku
- The hatha-yoga system is basically meant for those who are overly attached to the body; otherwise, the preferred yoga is sankhya-yoga or bhakti-yoga
- The hatha-yoga system is especially recommended for persons who are grossly implicated in the bodily conception
- The hatha-yoga system, or breathing system, is especially recommended for those who are very absorbed in the concept of bodily existence, but one who can perform the simple process of chanting Hare Krsna can fix the mind more easily
- The hatha-yoga system, to sit down in a sacred secluded place, straight right-angular, and looking towards the end of the nose is not possible for everyone. Therefore the topmost yoga system is to chant the Hare Krsna mantra. And actually it is happening
- The jnana-yoga system aims at the impersonal Brahman effulgence, and the hatha-yoga system aims at the localized personal aspect, the Paramatma feature of the Absolute Truth
- The Lord (Krsna) admitted Arjuna to be His devotee and friend (BG 4.3), and therefore any sane man can guess that the discussion was on the topic of the bhakti-yoga system. Actually the whole Bhagavad-gita is based on the principle of bhakti-yoga
- The Lord assured the two Vaikuntha inhabitants, Jaya and Vijaya: By practicing the mystic yoga system in anger, you will be cleansed of the sin of disobeying the brahmanas and within a very short time return to Me
- The Lord does not manufacture a new system of yoga
- The Lord informs Arjuna that this system of yoga, the Bhagavad-gita, was first spoken to the sun-god, and the sun-god explained it to Manu, and Manu explained it to Iksvaku. BG 1972 Introduction
- The Lord is described here (in SB 3.29.5) as yoga-bhaskara, the sun of the system of all yoga. Devahuti has already requested her glorious son (Kapiladeva) to describe bhakti-yoga, and the Lord has described bhakti-yoga as the ultimate yoga system
- The materialist is never prepared to give up his body; rather, he wants to continue to live in his body to serve his society, family, friends and so on. Therefore by practicing the mystic yoga system one must become detached from bodily relationships
- The mind must be peaceful. But there is one very easy method to control the mind from these disturbances. What is that? The yoga system means the control the disturbed mind
- The more we increase our material enjoyment we are more making ourself entangled in this material world, without being freed from these material clutches. That is the whole system of yoga, jnana, bhakti, anywhere
- The mystic yoga system, as You have explained, aims at the Supreme Personality of Godhead and is meant for completely ending material existence
- The mystic yogi who practices the yoga system with half-open eyes, ceasing all material activities, desires some satisfaction for his personal self. But a person acting in KC works for the satisfaction of the whole, without self-interest. BG 1972 pur
- The perfection of yoga system means to get eternal life, blissful life and full of knowledge. So we have to execute any yoga system with that aim. Not that I attend some yoga class to reduce fat or to keep my body very fit for sense gratification
- The personified Vedas continued, "Concentrating the mind upon the form of Visnu and controlling the senses very rigidly, they (mystic yogis) practice the yoga system"
- The preliminary processes of yoga system is to control the senses, and practice some bodily position by which the mind can be made fixed up on the point of Visnu Murti
- The present age is characterized by a bitter struggle for a life of short duration. People are not serious about self-realization even by simple, practical means, and what to speak of this difficult yoga system. BG 1972 purports
- The principles of the yoga system mentioned herein (BG 6.13-14) are different from those of the popular so-called yoga societies. BG 1972 purports
- The process is very simple. You haven't got to take difficult processes like yoga system or philosophical, speculative system. That is not possible in this age
- The process of cultivation of knowledge & the practice of the 8 fold yoga system are generally very difficult for this age. Therefore, despite constant endeavor, one may fail for many reasons. First of all, one may not be following the process. BG 1972 p
- The purpose of the entire yoga system is to concentrate the mind on Visnu
- The purpose of the yoga system is to control the mind and to draw it away from attachment to sense objects. It is stressed herein (BG 6.5) that the mind must be so trained that it can deliver the conditioned soul from the mire of nescience. BG 1972 pur
- The real purpose of the yoga system is to achieve the favor and shelter of the lotus feet of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but this purpose is covered by the illusory energy of yogamaya
- The real yoga system is to divert the mind towards God, to control the mind from material engagement and divert it to spiritual engagement, or bhakti-yoga
- The science of God, or the yoga system of devotional service known as Bhagavad-gita, was spoken to the saintly king of the sun planet, and gradually it descended through the ksatriya kings who were generated from the sun and the moon
- The senses are considered like venomous serpents, and the yoga system is just to control them
- The senses are very restless, going this way and that way with the mind, but by the astanga-yoga system, which regulates one's sitting posture, one's breath, and so on, one can control the senses and concentrate the mind on the form of Visnu
- The sitting posture described here (in SB 4.6.38) is called virasana according to the system of astanga-yoga performances
- The so-called yoga system practiced by the people of this age is not bonafide. They cannot follow all the rules and regulations of yoga practice
- The spiritual master never instructs his disciple, "Take a mantra from me, pay me some money, and by practicing this yoga system you will become very expert in materialistic life." This is not the duty of a spiritual master
- The supreme ancient system of yoga pertains to the soul. Presently, in America especially, hatha-yoga is very popular
- The system of yoga entails controlling the mind, and the Lord of the mind is Aniruddha. It is stated that Aniruddha is four-handed, with Sudarsana cakra, conchshell, club and lotus flower. There are twenty-four forms of Visnu, each differently named
- The systems of yoga may be likened unto a staircase. Someone may be on the first step, someone may be halfway up, or someone may be on the top step
- The ultimate goal of the yoga system is to become one with the Absolute. This means finishing one’s personal existence. But the spiritual part and parcel of the Supreme Personality of Godhead has an eternal individual existence
- The various yoga systems are given for the machine of the body, but the process of bhakti is transcendental to mechanical arrangements. It is therefore called tad-vijnana, transcendental to material understanding
- The whole idea is that without devotional service of the Lord, neither the yoga system nor dry philosophical speculation can ever become successful
- The whole process of sacrifice, either by yoga system or by jnana system or by observing the rules and regulation of the social system, everything is meant for reaching to that point. What is that? To surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- The whole process of the yoga system is to purify oneself. And what is this purification? Purification ensues upon the realization of one's actual identity
- The whole yoga system means to make the mind our friend
- The whole yoga system means training - our senses, our mind, our this, that, so many things - then we are fixed up in the self. Do you think that simply by fifteen minutes' meditation we realize? And do all nonsense all the day? No. It requires training
- The word yoga means "to link up," and the yoga systems are meant to enable us to link with the transcendental world
- The yoga system as it is described in the Bhagavad-gita is different from the bogus yoga system which is going on in the West these days. The yoga systems which have been introduced into the West by so-called yogis are not bona fide
- The yoga system as recommended in Bhagavad-gita is to concentrate the mental activities internally and thus see the lotus feet of the Lord within oneself
- The yoga system described in the books of Patanjali is authoritative, and the modern so-called yogis who have manufactured their own ways, not consulting the authorities, are simply ludicrous. The Patanjali yoga system is called astanga-yoga
- The yoga system for control of the mind and senses must be strictly followed. Lord Rsabhadeva showed how severe types of tapasya could be performed, and He set an example for all others
- The yoga system for meditation (controlling the sitting posture and breathing process and fixing the mind upon the Supreme) is prescribed in order to mold the character of the gross materialist
- The yoga system instructed in this chapter is called sanatana-yoga, or eternal activities performed by the living entity. BG 1972 purports
- The yoga system instructed in this chapter is called sanatana-yoga, or eternal activities performed by the living entity. This yoga has two divisions of action, called sacrifices
- The yoga system involves concentrating the mind and focusing it on the Paramatma or Supersoul seated within the heart
- The yoga system is a materialistic art of controlling this air by transferring it from the stomach to the navel, from the chest to the collarbone and from there to the eyeballs and from there to the cerebellum and from there to any desired planet
- The yoga system is a mechanical arrangement. But the bhakti system is above the machine, above this mechanical arrangement. Therefore it is called tad-vijnana
- The yoga system is a mechanical way to control the senses and the mind and divert them from matter to spirit
- The yoga system is especially difficult for this age. In the Srimad-Bhagavatam we understand that yoga means to concentrate one's attention on the Superself, Visnu. He is situated in your heart
- The yoga system is for that purpose. Those who are too much bodily concept of life, bodily consciousness, they should practice this yoga—hatha-yoga, astanga-yoga—so that the mind can be purified
- The yoga system is not at all possible in this age
- The yoga system is practically not very helpful. Helpful means we cannot execute this system very nicely
- The yoga system is so perfect that they get eight kinds of perfection before achieving the real perfection
- The yoga system is used to search out the spiritual principles within this material world. That process for searching is recommended in Bhagavad-gita by Krsna Himself
- The yoga system mainly based on bodily exercises is meant for the person who is too much attached to the bodily conception of existence
- The yoga system means to control the senses. Now yoga system has become a means of making the senses strong to enjoy. At the present moment, the so-called yoga system is a exercise for making the body strong and senses strong
- The yoga system of Bhagavad-gita was lost before the meeting of Krsna and Arjuna. Therefore Krsna again enunciated the same ancient yoga system to Arjuna, who could actually understand Bhagavad-gita
- The yoga system teaches that if you become silent you will realize that you are God. This system may be all right for materialistic persons, but how long will they be able to keep themselves silent?
- The yoga system teaches the serious student to meet the visnu-tattvas after going beyond the twenty-four material elements of the cosmic creation
- The yoga system which relates to the Lord and the individual soul, which is meant for the ultimate benefit of the living entity, and which causes detachment from all happiness and distress in the material world, is the highest yoga system
- The yoga system, as described in Srimad-Bhagavatam and Bhagavad-gita or as recommended in the Patanjali yoga process, is different from the nowadays practiced hatha-yoga as it is generally understood in the Western countries
- The yoga system, as here (in SB 3.25.13) stated by the Lord, is meant to end all material happiness and material distress
- The yoga system, as it was recommended in the Satya-yuga, the Golden Age, was to always meditate on Visnu
- The yoga system, karma system, jnana system, they may be taken as different types of religious path, but Krsna recommends - not only at the present moment, but eternally - five thousand years ago, He said, sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja
- The yoga systems as described here lead to bhakti-yoga, and bhakti-yoga can be practiced by persons who have developed attachment to Krsna. Others cannot practice it
- The yogi who can meditate perfectly on that spot (the bosom) on the transcendental form of the Lord can derive many material powers, which comprise the eight perfections of the yoga system
- The yogi's real business is to focus his mind on Krsna. That is the real yoga system. There are many gymnastics performed by yogis, but all this is recommended for those who are overly concerned with the body
- The yogic system of meditation is actually meant for those who are less intelligent. One who practices meditation in yoga must control the senses - yoga indriya-samyamah
- There are different kinds of mystic yoga systems aiming for different phases of the Absolute Truth
- There are different kinds of yoga systems, but the foremost and the topmost yoga system is to develop your attachment or constantly being in touch with the Supreme Personality of Godhead. That is first-class yoga
- There are different methods of self-realization. But here (in SB 3.25.29) Devahuti especially refers to the bhakti-yoga system, which has already been primarily explained by the Lord
- There are different siddhis, or yogic perfections - anima, laghima, prapti, and so on - and whatever yogis choose to do, they can do. That is the real yoga system
- There are different types of yoga system, bhakti-yoga, jnana-yoga, karma-yoga, hatha-yoga, dhyana-yoga. So many yogas. But the bhakti-yoga is the supermost
- There are different types of yoga, of which bhakti-yoga is the best. In other yoga systems, one must undergo various processes before attaining perfection, but bhakti-yoga is direct
- There are many different processes or yoga system to be in touch with God, but for the people in this age, this is the easiest method, to be in touch with God simply by chanting His holy name
- There are many different processes or yoga systems to be in touch with God, but for the people in this age, this is the easiest method, to be in touch with God simply by chanting His holy name
- There are many mystics and yogis all over the world, but Krsna is the master of all yoga systems. Krsna's instruction is explicitly stated in Bhagavad-gita-surrender unto Krsna. One who does so is the topmost yogi. BG 1972 purports
- There are many other yoga system - karma-yoga, jnana-yoga, dhyana-yoga, hatha-yoga. Everything you endeavor for spiritual enlightenment, that is called yoga. So there are different types of yoga, but real yoga is bhagavad-bhakti, devotional service
- There are many yogis and many different types of yoga systems, and all of these are discussed in Bhagavad-gita. There is hatha-yoga, karma-yoga, jnana-yoga and raja-yoga; however, the real yoga system is meant for reviving our connection with Krsna
- There are others who also try to understand the Supreme Soul by cultivation of knowledge, and there are others who cultivate the hatha-yoga system and who try to satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead by childish activities. BG 1972 purports
- There are so-called yoga practices in which one concentrates the mind on voidness or on the impersonal, but this is not approved by the authorized yoga system as explained by Kapiladeva. Even Patanjali explains that the target of all yoga is Visnu
- There are three different processes by which Krsna can be understood: the empiric process of philosophical speculation, the process of meditation according to the mystic yoga system, and the process of Krsna consciousness, or devotional service
- There have been many yoga systems popularized in the Western World, especially in this century, but none of them have actually taught the perfection of yoga
- There is no question of stopping the activities of the senses. That will fail. The yoga system, Patanjali yoga system, is artificially stopping the activities of the senses
- There is no record of Arjuna's having executed the yoga system at any time. At the same time Arjuna was praised by Krsna as the only man worthy of understanding Bhagavad-gita
- These (no illicit sexual connection, no intoxication, no meat-eating and no gambling) are the four minimum regulations for the execution of any yoga system. And in this age who can refrain from these activities
- These (purport of BG 6.47) are some of the means for performance of bhakti or Krsna consciousness, the highest perfectional stage of the yoga system. BG 1972 purports
- These transcendental (Vaikuntha) planets are worshipable because the PG personally rules them. It is said here (SB 3.15.26) that the sages reached the transcendental spiritual sky by dint of their mystic power. That is the perfection of the yoga system
- They (misguided men) artificially try to stop the activities of the senses (yoga system), or they deny the transcendental senses of the Lord - jnana system
- Thinking of Krsna is the essence of all yoga systems - of the hatha, karma, jnana, bhakti or any other system of yoga, sacrifice or charity
- This (yoga) system must be considered generally impossible in this age of Kali. Of course it may be possible for some very few, rare men, but for the people in general it is an impossible proposal. BG 1972 purports
- This chapter, Lord Krsna will try to teach the principles of yoga system. So here He begins, that a transcendentalist should always try to concentrate his mind on the Supreme Self
- This direct process of bhakti-yoga is recommended for this age because people haven't got sufficient time to execute all the paraphernalia any other system of yoga
- This is the only yoga system, bhakti-yoga system, that one can practice for quick result and self-realization and liberation even in this life. He hasn't got to wait for another life. It is so nice, Krsna consciousness
- This is the real business of the yogis: to think of the lotus feet of the Lord. Lord Siva therefore advises that one who is actually serious about purification must engage himself in this type of meditation or in the mystic yoga system
- This is the yoga system (practicing different sitting posture) recommended for those who are too much absorbed in the bodily concept of life
- This is yoga system: bhakti-yoga. Yoga means to connect, to add, yoga. So at the present moment we are almost disconnected. Not exactly disconnected; forgotten our relationship with Krsna, or God
- This Krsna conscious yoga system cannot be practiced by an ordinary man who has no attachment for Krsna, for it is a different system, and the topmost - bhakti-yoga
- This Krsna consciousness is yoga system. At the present day, they are concentrating their mind on something void, impersonal, according to their own prescription. The real process is to concentrate the mind on something
- This Krsna consciousness movement is meant for giving education to the people of this sankhya-yoga system or bhakti-yoga system, because it is the recommended process by authorities
- This spiritual platform, to reach, requires gradually process of cultivation, and there is no difficulty to reach the spiritual platform. But first of all, the training of the mind is practiced by the yoga system. Yoga means to control the mind
- This stage of devotional service (submissve faith and love for Krsna) by the devotee in Krsna consciousness is the most perfect stage of the yoga system
- This system of yoga for controlling the breathing process is called pranayama, and in the beginning it is practiced in the hatha-yoga system through different sitting postures. BG 1972 purports
- This topmost yoga system was described by Krsna in the Gita to His most intimate friend, Arjuna. In the beginning, the Lord said that this system can be practiced only by a person who has developed attachment for it
- This type of meditation (meditating on God's lotus feet) or in the mystic yoga system, will help him (a yogi) not only to see the Lord within constantly but to see Him face to face and become His associate in Vaikunthaloka or Goloka Vrndavana
- This vacancy, this mind's business - thinking, feeling and willing - when all of them are engaged in the Supreme Personality of Godhead, that is called perfect yoga system, or the topmost yoga system
- This yoga system (chanting Hare Krsna) is recommended especially for this age because other yoga systems are very difficult processes for the present age
- This yoga system (going to secluded place, control the senses and mind to concentrate everything on Visnu form) is very, very difficult. It may be possible for some solitary man, but for the general mass of people it is not recommended in the scriptures
- This yoga system has been lost because the parampara system became broken. Therefore, Krsna said to Arjuna that "I am initiating you to begin that parampara system again because it is now, the link is broken. So I want to begin that system through you"
- This yoga system recognizes the soul, and thus it is distinct from the so-called yoga process for controlling the cells of the body, which has been discovered in the modern age
- This yoga system, Krsna consciousness, even you take it from religious side, this is first class - because there is no motive. They are not serving Krsna to supply them this or that
- Those who are imitating this yoga system in different so-called schools and societies, although complacent, are certainly wasting their time. They are completely in ignorance of the desired goal. BG 1972 purports
- Those who are in the yoga system and have realized the self, the world, and the Supreme Lord, in other words, the bhakti-yogis, those engaged in pure devotional service in Krsna consciousness, can understand how things are taking place. BG 1972 purports
- Those who are interested in material enjoyment are known as bhukti-kami. One who is interested in merging into the effulgence of Brahman or perfecting the mystic yoga system is not a devotee at all
- Those who are just stepping on the staircase of the yoga system, for them, karma karanam ucyate, they must work. In the beginning, nobody should stop working. Nobody should stop working
- Those who are taking the first step up the staircase of the yoga system, there is work. One should not think that simply because he is beginning yoga that he should stop working
- Those who are too addicted to sense gratification are advised to practice the mystic yoga system, or astanga-yoga system, consisting of yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyhara and so on. In this way, one can control the senses
- Those who are too much bodily attached, for them this yoga system is controlling the senses, yoga indriya samyamah. Yoga does not mean to increase the power of sense gratification. Yoga means controlling the senses
