A
- A devotee should execute his devotional services with full energy, endurance, and confidence. He should perform his scheduled duties, he should be pure in heart, and he should serve in association with devotees
- A father and mother's responsibility for children continues until they marry them to suitable spouses; when the father is able to perform that duty, he is relieved of his responsibility
- A father's duty is to bring up the son until he is grown, and when the son is grown up, it is his duty to render service unto the father

- Caitanya Mahaprabhu set forth three duties for three different people. Mukunda was to earn money & follow the religious principles, whereas Narahari was to remain with the Lord's devotees, & Raghunandana was to engage in the Lord’s service in the temple
- Cari varna means four castes, four division of human society: the brahmin, the ksatriyas, the vaisyas and the sudra. They have got their specific duties. One who is brahmin, he has got his specific duty

- Daksa got up as if he were awakened from deep sleep. In Sanskrit this is called supta ivottasthau. The meaning is that after a man awakens from sleep, he immediately remembers all the duties which he must execute

- One should give up all other duties and surrender unto the lotus feet of Krsna. That is the real religious principle everyone should follow. Even though one follows Vedic scriptures, one may not know this transcendental principle

- There are two kinds of duties - mundane duty and duty performed for the sake of yajna, or sacrifice (yajnarthat karma). Any karma (activity) one performs which is not for the purpose of yajna is a cause of bondage
