- A conditioned soul works in the service of his temporary body, bodily relatives like the wife and children, and the necessary paraphernalia for maintaining the body and bodily relations, such as the house, land, wealth, society and country
- A living entity in the conditioned stage can uncover his aptitude for serving the Absolute Truth by the grace of Krsna and the spiritual master

- Sanatana Gosvami was a minister in the service of Nawab Hussain Shah. He was always mixing with materially inclined people, particularly with Muslims, meat-eaters
- Sanatana Gosvami was born in a very respectable brahmana family, but because he accepted the service of Muhammadan king, actually he lost his all brahminical culture. He did not lose, but superficially it appeared
- Service means to the senses. That's all. We are servant of our senses. We give service to the master . . . not to the master. I give service to the money - he pays me - not to the master. I have no love for the master
- Service means whatever the spiritual master wants, "You do this," you must do it, just like a menial servant

- Temporary time-serving devotional service is not accepted as pure devotional service. Actual devotional service continues even after liberation. BG 1972 purports

- The primeval Lord, being all-powerful, can do whatever He likes, and therefore His assuming the incarnation of a tortoise or a fish for serving a particular purpose is not at all astonishing
- The purpose of knowledge and of restraining the senses, as prescribed in the jnana and yoga processes, is automatically served in Krsna consciousness. BG 1972 purports
- The Queen (Vaidarbhi) did not even talk to her husband (Malayadhvaja) while serving. She would simply perform her prescribed duties without talk. Thus she did not stop rendering service until she could ascertain that her husband had passed from the body

- We are explaining this morning: antavanta ime dehah. This body is perishable. It is material. What is the use of serving it? However you serve it, it will destroy. Try to save the soul who is put into this body and embarrassed

- You can become a perfect devotee simply by service. There is no other method. Bhaktya mam abhijanati (BG 18.55). Bhakti means service, simply. That is bhakti
- You cannot abolish that system (training brahmanas to serve the social body). That is a false attempt
