- In this age, the life span will gradually decrease. People will gradually lose their memory, finer sentiments, strength, and better qualities

- In this Sixteenth Chapter (of BG) the Lord explains both the transcendental nature and its attendant qualities, as well as the demoniac nature and its qualities. He also explains the advantages and disadvantages of these qualities. BG 1972 purports
- In this statement (of the Times of India (Oct. 27, 1959) news regarding antimatter), the following propositions are put forward: One. There is an antimaterial atom or particle which is made up of the antiqualities of material atoms
- In this way each of them praised the qualities of the other, and both of them were pleased to see each other
- Individuality is both in spiritual world and the material world. But in the material world our individuality is different on account of associating or infecting different qualities of the material nature

- Kindly be responsible, those who are second initiated. If you fall down, then the whole movement becomes false. That is happening. So rectify if that is happening, that guna-karma. You must acquire the qualities & must act accordingly. That is practical
- King Pariksit continued, "Description of a subject matter necessitates describing its source of emanation, its qualities and its activities. Such description can be possible only by thinking with the material mind and by vibrating material words"
- Krsna continued, "In comparison to Sisupala, with his personal qualities, I am nothing. And you (Rukmini) may personally realize it. I am surprised that you rejected the marriage with Sisupala and accepted Me, who am inferior in comparison to Sisupala"
- Krsna is the maker of a caste system that is applicable universally, is voluntary and natural, and is based on one's qualities and abilities
- Krsna is the purifying ingredient in all matters, regardless of what they are. In the mundane world, everything is impure due to its being a product of the three mundane qualities. The purifying agent, however, is Krsna

- Let me offer my respectful obeisances unto the all-auspicious Krsna again and again because the great learned sages, the great performers of charity cannot achieve any fruitful result without dedication of such great qualities to the service of the Lord
- Lord Krsna encouraged Arjuna by telling him that he was not born with demoniac qualities. His involvement in the fight was not demoniac because he was considering the pro's and con's. BG 1972 purports
- Lord Krsna said, "As I have stated in the Bhagavad-gita, human society should be divided into four varnas, according to quality and action. Similarly, everyone should divide his life into four parts"
- Lord Siva is an associate of the external energy; therefore he is absorbed in the material quality of darkness. Lord Visnu is transcendental to maya and the qualities of maya. Therefore He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Lord Siva is understood to be the master of this material energy. The material energy is manifested in three qualities, namely goodness, passion and ignorance, and therefore Lord Siva is the master of these three qualities
- Lord Visnu specifically is always the controller of the three qualities. There is no question of His coming under their control

- Maharaja Priyavrata married Barhismati, the daughter of the prajapati named Visvakarma. In her he begot ten sons equal to him in beauty, character, magnanimity and other qualities. He also begot a daughter, the youngest of all, named Urjasvati
- Maharaja Prthu was so powerful that he could exhibit all the qualities of the predominating deities in other planets
- Maintenance cannot be taken by anyone except by God. Therefore this material world is being operated in three departmental qualities: sattva, raja, tama. Sattva is maintenance. Sattva means goodness. Goodness is maintenance
- Manu is the original father of mankind and in Sanskrit, mankind is called manusya. Humanity in different bodily qualities is distributed throughout the various planetary systems
- Many learned scholars have agreed to also accept Lord Ramacandra as dhirodatta, but all of Lord Ramacandra's qualities are also included in the character of Lord Krsna
- Material nature is one, but because of the interaction of the three qualities, it can produce the total energy and the wonderful cosmic manifestation. Such transformations divide material nature into two features, namely the efficient and material causes

- Narada's transcendental body is free from material affinity and invested with three primary transcendental qualities, namely eternity, freedom from material modes, and freedom from reactions of fruitive activities
- No material planet, even Satyaloka, is comparable in quality to the spiritual planets, where the five inherent qualities of the material world - namely ignorance, misery, egoism, anger and envy - are completely absent
- No one can describe all the qualities of Haridasa Thakura. One may say something about them just to purify himself

- Since Hari’s devotees are transcendental to the control of the three material qualities, certainly He Himself is transcendental
- Since he (Jarasandha) possessed demoniac qualities from birth, naturally he became a great devotee of Lord Siva, who is the lord of all ghostly and demoniac men
- Since one has to work even for the simple maintenance of the body, the prescribed duties for a particular social position and quality are so made that that purpose can be fulfilled
- Since people are contaminated by the lower qualities, they will lead their next lives either as animals or in other degraded forms of life
- Since the Lord is always spiritually qualified, He is attached to servants who always render transcendental loving service unto Him. He is attached to the truth in life, not to brahminical qualities. Indeed, He is never attached to any material qualities
- Since this material world is a product of the three qualities of material nature, all varieties of manifestations come from those three qualities
- So many varieties of living entities in this material world, they are due to gunair vicitrah, by the different qualities, mixture of qualities. So on the gross estimation the mixture is sattva, rajas, tamas, the first mixture
- So the difference between Siva and jiva is that the all-auspicious Personality of Godhead is never affected by the material qualities, whereas the minute portions of the S P of Godhead are prone to be affected by the qualities of material nature
- So this is a forgotten story, truthfulness. That is brahminical qualification. All these qualifications are mentioned. It is not possible to acquire all the qualities by one man
- Some say that transcendence must be void of all qualities because qualities are manifested only in matter. According to them, all qualities are like temporary, flickering mirages. But this is not acceptable
- Spiritual knowledge is above sattva-guna. Above sattva-guna. Sattva-guna is the best quality, when one brain is clear and he can see things as they are, no hazy understanding but clear understanding. The sattva-guna is the qualification of brahmana
- Spiritual platform is called goodness unaffected by other qualities. Sattvam visuddham. Visuddham means complete pure. No adulteration. So long we are in the material platform, the goodness is liable to be adulterated
- Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu replied, "I met Srila Rupa Gosvami at Prayaga. He attracted and satisfied Me because of his qualities"
- Sri Krsna Himself has enumerated the basic principles of a caste system that is real and universal. The four social orders (intellectual, administrative, mercantile, and laborer) are set by Him according to the qualities these persons have acquired
- Sri Maitreya said: After describing the greatness of the Emperor's manifold qualities and activities, the sage (Kardama Muni) became silent, and the Emperor (Manu), feeling modesty, addressed him as follows

- Tada rajas-tamo-bhavah kama-lobhadayas ca ye (SB 1.2.19). When one is freed from the modes of ignorance and passion, one becomes free from the lowest qualities-kama and lobha, lust and greed
- That classification (the brahminical class,the ksatriya class, the vaisya class, and the sudra class according to the qualities of a person) is wanted. That must be there
- The Absolute Truth is beyond our conception. One must admit that He has unblemished qualities that He does not share with every living entity
- The airplanes and carriages are of the same quality as Brahman because everything is of the same nature of eternity, bliss and knowledge
- The benefit (of training people according to their own qualities) will be that the whole social body will function harmoniously. The social body must have a brain and arms and a belly and legs to be complete

- The dexterity and sacrifice of the devoted worker, the knowledge of the sannyasi (renunciant), the stillness and profound love for Godhead of the mystic - all these qualities are included and coexisting within the qualities of the transcendental worker
- The difference between a devotee & a nondevotee is this, just like the bee & the fly: the bee always is attracted by the honey & flies go to the open sores. So the devotee is only attracted by the good qualities in other people & does not see their faults
- The difference between the created and the creator is always there, although both the creator and created are of the same quality
- The difference is that Krsna consciousness man knows that "I am eternal servant of God. Therefore let me willingly serve Krsna." And others, they are also serving Krsna, but by force, by maya, by the qualities of nature
- The female has such beautiful teeth and beautiful qualities that she will actually beautify the ornaments she wears. Her name will be Arci. In the future she will accept King Prthu as her husband
- The followers and servants of the dacoit chief considered Jada Bharata to possess qualities quite suitable for a man-animal, and they decided that he was a perfect choice for sacrifice
- The four orders of the social system - namely brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya and sudra - are arranged according to guna and karma, their qualities and work

- The individual soul is one, Pure, nonmaterial and self-effulgent. He is the reservoir of all good qualities, and He is all-pervading. He is without material covering, and He is the witness of all activities
- The individual sparks of the supreme whole (the Lord) possess almost eighty percent of the known qualities of the whole, but they are not quantitatively equal to the Supreme Lord
- The interaction of the three qualities makes it possible for things to be created, maintained and annihilated. But in the spiritual world, or the kingdom of God, there is no such exhibition, since everything is eternal, sentient and blissful

- The ksatriyas (military men and administrators), the vaisyas (farmers and businessmen), and finally the sudras (ordinary laborers). One's place in this system is determined by one's qualities and work - guna-karma
- The lightning becomes unsteady in its friendship, failing to remain faithfully in any 1 of the clouds, although they are the friends of the entire world, just as lusty women do not remain steady even in the company of men who possess excellent qualities
- The living being, because of his spiritual nature, can know his body, the life airs, the senses, the elements and the sense objects, and he can also know the three qualities that form their roots
- The living entities are subjected by those qualities, although originally the living entities are qualitatively one with the Lord
- The living entities, being part and parcel of the Lord, possess His qualities in a minute quantity. Therefore one should not be affected by lamentation
- The living entity is always being influenced by the three qualities-sattva (goodness), rajas (passion) and tamas (ignorance). This is also confirmed in BG 7.13. The living entity is bewildered by the three qualities of material nature
- The Lord is the object of maintenance, like a son, and therefore this mellow is full of the qualities of four rasas - santa-rasa, dasya-rasa, fraternity and parental love. This is more transcendental nectar
