- The pure devotees are transcendentally situated on the Brahman platform, and they know everything about transcendental and material activities. BG 1972 purports

- The question may be raised here (SB 4.20.14) that if everyone engaged in spiritual activities to attain salvation and became indifferent to the activities of the material world, then how could things as they are go on

- They (the leaders of material activity) are only misleaders, but an ordinary man cannot understand how he is being misled
- They (those who do not know the value of ds) are attracted by material activities, and they become worshipers of material nature. Thus they are known as fruitive actors. They even become entangled in material activities disguised as spiritual activities
- They are captivated simply by seeing the faces of one another, which remind them of sense gratification. They are always engaged in material activities, known as gramya-karma, and they work hard for material benefit

- This is the test of advancement in Krsna consciousness: a person advancing in Krsna consciousness must lose interest in material activities and personal sense gratification
- This material life is just like a blazing forest fire. Eating, sleeping, enjoying sex and defending are the main material activities. When we are engaged simply in these things, our hearts are always burning as if we had taken poison
