- A devotee is in a transcendental position because he is no longer under the control of the three material modes of nature - goodness, passion, and ignorance

- In this verse (SB 3.26.4) the word gunamayim is very significant. Daivim means "the energy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead," and gunamayim means "invested with the three modes of material nature

- The embodied spirit, master of the city of his body, does not create activities, nor does he induce people to act, nor does he create the fruits of action. All this is enacted by the modes of material nature. BG 5.14 - 1972
