A
- A spiritual master's qualification is that he is brahma-nistha, which means that he has given up all other activities and has dedicated his life to working only for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna
- After the disappearance of Lord Caitanya and Svarupa Damodara, Raghunatha dasa Gosvami keenly felt separation from these two exalted personalities and therefore decided to give up his life by jumping from Govardhana Hill in Vrndavana
- Anyabhilasita-sunyam (Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu 1.1.11). If one has no desire other than to serve Krsna and His devotee, then his life is successful. This is explained by Narada Muni (in SB 7.15.73) through this practical example from his own life
B
- Before doing so (giving up life by jumping from Govardhana Hill in Vrndavana) he (Raghunatha dasa Gosvami) wanted to see the lotus feet of Srila Rupa Gosvami and Sanatana Gosvami
- Both of us (Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Maharaja and Srila Prabhupada) were trained in the devotional service of the Lord from the very beginning of our lives. Later on we met by the order of the transcendental system. BG 1972 purports
- By these (BG 8.17) calculations the life of Brahma seems fantastic and interminable, but from the viewpoint of eternity it is as brief as a lightning flash. BG 1972 purports
H
- He (Lord Caitanya) emphasized that Raghunatha dasa's life of material comfort as a very rich man's son with a very beautiful wife and many servants to attend him was like a ditch of stool
- How one can become this fortunate (to get helped from within by Krsna and from without by the spiritual master) can be seen in the life of Srila Narada Muni. In his previous life he was born of a maidservant
I
- If practiced, it can be reduced, practiced. We see in the life of Gosvamis. About them, it is said: nidrahara-viharakadi-vijitau. They conquered over sleeping, eating. If we conquer over eating, then we can conquer over sleeping and other things also
- In his earlier life, Srila Rupa Gosvami was a government officer and a grhastha. He was not even a brahmacari or sannyasi. He associated with mlecchas & yavanas, but because he was always eager to serve, he was a qualified recipient for the Lord’s mercy
- It doesn't matter whether a person is born as a sudra, a woman or a vaisya; if he associates with devotees repeatedly or always (sadhu-sangena), he can be elevated to the highest perfection. Narada Muni is explaining this in relation to his own life
S
- Sanatana Gosvami considered himself fallen, for in the association of such men (meat-eaters, drunkards and materialists), he also fell victim to material enjoyment. Having passed his life in that way, he considered that he had wasted his valuable time
- Srila Narada Muni is giving a practical example from his past life. Formerly, during the previous lifetime of Lord Brahma, Narada Muni was one of the denizens of Gandharvaloka
T
- The intelligence is that "Why I am put into miserable condition of life?" That is intelligence. That intelligence was found in the life of Sanatana Gosvami
- This Krsna consciousness movement is a humble attempt to awaken the whole human society to this spiritual knowledge and act according to the instruction of spiritual life and be happy and be prepared for the next life
