- A krsna-bhakta knows that his friend and protector in all respects is Krsna, who is able to do anything for His devotee
- A preacher is giving real sense. To awaken this sense, Krsna had to come personally. And he is doing the same work: "Surrender to Krsna." How much great service it is
- According to the Vedas, ekam bahu syam: the Personality of Godhead can become many, many millions upon millions of calves and cowherd boys, as He did to bewilder Brahma more and more
- After doing so (eating some particle of vegetable sticking to the pot), the Lord asked Draupadi to call for her guests, the company of Durvasa
- After inquiring from Krsna, Lord Balarama understood that Krsna Himself had become many. That the Lord can do this is stated in the Brahma-samhita (BS 5.38). Advaitam acyutam anadim ananta-rupam: although He is one, He can expand Himself in so many forms
- After Krsna did this (killed Gardabhasura), they all returned home, and their report of the day's activity perturbed Mother Yasoda because Krsna had been sent alone into such danger in the Talavana Forest. Thus she looked upon the boys with anger
- All the affairs of the entire world and the entire cosmic manifestation are working under His (Krsna's) direction, through His different energies. Still, when there is a need to take care of His friends, He does this personally
- All the cowherd boys said: It is Krsna who has done this. When He was in between the two trees, the mortar fell crosswise. Krsna dragged the mortar, and the two trees fell down - SB 10.11.4
- Also, when the gopis first came to Him, He gave instructions to them to return to their homes. To call the wives of other persons or young girls & enjoy dancing with them is certainly abominable according to the Vedas. Why should Krsna have done this?
- Although He has no obligatory duty, still He does everything so that others may follow. That is the way of factual teaching; one must act properly himself and teach the same to others, otherwise no one will accept one's blind teaching
- Although the Lord personally has nothing to do with material creation, maintenance and destruction, He causes all these things to be done by His plenary expansion, the Paramatma
- Always reading should be continually going on in our centers. These books, regularly should be discussed and preached: the ideal life of Krsna, ideal grhastha, householder, what He is doing
- An example sometimes given to explain the position of the Supreme Lord is that of the sun, which evaporates urine from the earth but is never affected by contamination. The Supreme Lord can never be accused of doing anything wrong
- Arjuna, after hearing from Krsna about the outcome of the Battle of Kuruksetra, became an enlightened devotee of the Supreme Lord. He admitted that everything done by Krsna is quite fit. BG 1972 purports
- As Vasudeva He (Krsna) sometimes desires to enjoy as the cowherd boy Govinda does, although the Govinda form and the Vasudeva form are one and the same
- Atma-maya refers to the spiritual potency. When Krsna comes to this or any other universe, He does so with His spiritual potency
B
- Because of your honest desire, all living entities within the universe will be delivered, for Krsna does not have to do anything to deliver all the living entities of the universe
- Bhismadeva supported Krsna, that - He is greater brahmacari than me. I think I could not save myself, keeping myself amongst the young girls. But Krsna can do so. He is real brahmacari. Therefore His another name is Acyuta, he never falls down
- Brahma and Indra, they are not fools. When they saw that "A boy is in Vrndavana, and He is accepted as the Supreme Lord, and He is doing something like God. Let us test"
- Brahma found Krsna, the S. P. of Godhead, playing the part of a small cowherd boy; he saw that little child with a lump of food in His left hand, searching out His friends and calves, just as He had been doing one year before, after their disappearance
- By doing so (breaking the family affection) He (Krsna) causes the devotee to become completely dependent on Him and thus clears the path for his going back to Godhead
- By his mystic power, Brahma stole all the cows, calves and cowherd friends of Krsna and hid them. However, when he returned to see what Krsna was doing alone, he saw that Krsna was still playing with the same cows, calves and cowherd boys
- By law of gravitation, such a big mountain, it cannot stay in one man's finger. That is our calculation. But Krsna did it. That means He counteracted the law of gravitation. That is God
- By the arrangement of yogamaya, all the gopis and gopas thought that the accident (of the cart) had taken place because of some bad planet or some ghost, but in fact everything was done by Krsna and enjoyed by Him
C
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu prays to Krsna (CC Antya 20.47) "You do whatever You like, but still You are my worshipable Lord." That is service. "I don't ask any return from You." That is service. When you expect some return, that is business
- Considering all the circumstances (the fallen yamala-arjuna trees on the ground), had this been done by Krsna? He was standing on the spot, and His playmates described that this had been done by Him
E
- Even Krsna went to a guru-kula to teach us. There was no need for Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, to go to a guru-kula, but He did this simply to set an example. Caitanya Mahaprabhu also accepted a guru
- Everything the Lord did in Vrndavana was for the pleasure of His associates there. The Lord created these pastimes to attract the dry speculators and the acrobats of the so-called hatha-yoga system who wish to find the Absolute Truth
F
- For one in such Krsna consciousness there are no material activities because everything is done by Krsna. BG 1972 purports

- From the previous chapter it is clear that no one can act the way Lord Krsna does. We should clearly note this fact: the activities of the Lord should be followed, but they cannot be imitated
- From the Vedic mantras we learn that the Supreme Personality of Godhead has nothing to do: na tasya karyam karanam ca vidyate. But if the Supreme Lord has nothing to do, how can we speak of the activities of the Supreme Lord
G
- God is good, He is all-good. We should accept it. Whatever He is doing, that is all-good
- God never says "I am God, Krsna. I am your friend. You sit down idly & I shall do everything." He never said that. He said "You must fight." That is our duty, not that God has given us hands & legs & you sit down idly & let God do it. This isn't devotion
- Gravitation is caused by the Supreme Lord, so He is also able to remove that law or do anything and everything at His will
H
- Had Krsna actually done this (felling the yamala-arjuna trees), or were these merely stories? This was a cause of bewilderment - of all the cowherd men in the neighborhood
- He (Krsna) is Himself the awarder of fruitive results. He is self-sufficient, and yet He acts according to the rulings of the revealed scripture in order to teach us the process. If He does not do so, the common man may go wrong
- He (Krsna) may have stolen something or eaten something and yet deny that he has done so. We ordinarily see this in the material world, but in relation to Krsna it is different; such activities are meant to endow the devotee with transcendental ecstasy
- He (Krsna) therefore told Narada, "Since Your Holiness is a brahmana, it is Our duty to offer you something as far as possible. Therefore, I beg you to please order Me. What can I do for you"
- His (Krsna's) transcendental relation with Arjuna was in friendship, and the Lord therefore played the part perfectly, as He did with His parents, lovers and wives
- How we can understand Bhagavan's energy, how we can understand His creative energy, and what is the potency of Bhagavan, how He is doing that, everything - that is also a great science. That is called Krsna science
I
- I (Radharani) request You (Krsna) to come to Vrndavana and enjoy pastimes with Me. If You do so, My ambition will be fulfilled
- If Krsna likes He can do anything. Now in our New York court case the judge has declared that Krsna consciousness is a genuine religion and has dismissed the case. Is it not Krsna's great blessing
- If something mystic or magic has to be shown, the devotee does not take any credit for that magic, because the magic is done by Krsna for the sake of devotee. So he doesn't require to learn the art of magic to cheat the people. That is not
- If you paint a very nice flower, how much labor you require. Still, it cannot be so beautiful as the natural flower. So don't think the natural flower has come accidentally. No. It was done by the machine manipulated by Krsna. That is Krsna understanding
- If you paint one flower, you have to take the brush, color, and you cannot do as nice. So Krsna has also to do the same thing, but the energy is so fine and quick, svabhaviki jnana-bala-kriya ca. Krsna's energies will go on
- If you want to create a house, you have to apply engineer, contractor, the ingredients. But Krsna also will do the same thing. But His energies are so fine & expert, He desires, "Let there be a skyscraper," immediately there is. But the process is there
- In a moment He can kill thousands of demons merely by a strong wind. Nor does He need to come to give protection to the devotees, for He can do everything simply by His will. But He descends to enjoy pleasure pastimes. - Let Me go and see
- In Bhagavad-gita (3.8) it is said, sarira-yatrapi ca te na prasiddhyed akarmanah: "one cannot even maintain one's own body without work." Krsna never advised Arjuna, - I am your friend, and I shall do everything. You just sit down and smoke ganja

- In the Seventh Chapter (of Bhagavad-gita), Krsna has explained that He impregnates the living entities into material nature. This is done by His looking upon material nature. BG 1972 purports
- In the spiritual sky the Vaikuntha planets are predominated by Narayana. His devotees have the same features He does, and the exchange of devotion there is on the platform of reverence
- In this material world, small children, without enmity or bad will, sometimes go to a neighboring house and steal, and sometimes they fight. Krsna also, like other children, did all these things in His childhood
- Instead of defeating Krsna, Brahma himself was defeated, for he could not understand what Krsna was doing. Since Brahma, the chief person within this universe, was so bewildered, what is to be said of so-called scientists and philosophers
- It is found in Bhagavad-gita: Although Krsna was doing everything for Arjuna, Arjuna never sat down idly as a nonviolent gentleman. Rather, he tried his best to fight the battle and be victorious
- It is natural that when a child becomes angry he can begin crying with false tears in his eyes. So Krsna did this, and biting His reddish lips with His teeth, He broke the pot with a stone, entered a room and began to eat the freshly churned butter
- It is not very good to try to save oneself. Rather, one should simply depend on Krsna - Krsna, if You save me, that is all right. Otherwise, kill me. You may do as You like
- It was not very difficult for Krsna to perform a miracle by extending His bodily feature, but He had no desire to do it because of His deep filial love for His mother, Yasoda

- Krsna does put you in miserable condition, but He helps you get out from the miserable condition

- Krsna may do anything supposedly abominable in material life, yet still He is attractive. Therefore His name is Krsna, meaning "all-attractive." This is the platform on which transcendental loving affairs and service are exchanged

- Krsna says, janma karma ca me divyam: (BG 4.9) whatever He does, being always transcendental, has nothing to do with material qualities
- Krsna seated Himself beside each of the many gopis, and it may be asked herein how He did this. There is a significant word in this verse (BG 18.61): isvara

- Krsna was doing everything; still he was to fight. He was inducing, "You must fight." Neither Arjuna said, "Krsna, You are so, my friend. Better You do it. I sit down. Let me smoke ganja." No. Arjuna also did not say. This is not Krsna consciousness

- Naturally we cannot violate destiny. But if we do it, then we will suffer. But our destiny can be changed by Krsna when we are Krsna conscious. We do not do it, but Krsna will do it

T
- That is the difference between animal and man. A child can control so many calfs. Krsna was doing that. One stick in the hand of a child, he can control fifty cows. The child is controller of many cows; a man is controller of many children
- The answer is that He (Krsna) can do anything for the pleasure of His devotees. Similarly, because the gopis wanted to enjoy Krsna, they were given the opportunity to associate with Him for a long period. This was done according to His promise

- The responsibility of the Lord is also unique. The Lord has no responsibility because all His work is done by His different appointed energies. But still He accepts voluntary responsibilities in displaying different roles in His transcendental pastimes
- The Supreme Personality of Godhead is therefore known as all-good. Whatever He does is good
- The Vedas (Svetasvatara Upanisad 6.8) assert that the Supreme Personality of Godhead has nothing to do personally (na tasya karyam karanam ca vidyate) because He is doing everything through His energies and potencies

- There are others who designate Him as impersonal, and so the Lord also does not take any personal interest
- There are two or four demons still living. I (Krsna) want to kill them, and after doing so I shall very soon return to Vrndavana. Please know this for certain

- There was no need to come before Bhismadeva with blood and wounds. But He (Krsna) did so because the warrior devotee wanted to see the transcendental beauty of the Lord decorated with wounds created by a pure devotee
- These informations are there in authorized Vedic literature. We can understand what is Krsna, what is God, what He is doing, what is His name, what is His father's name - everything we can give - in full detail. That is Krsna consciousness movement
- This (Kuntidevi was shown far more favor) was done because Devaki's husband, Vasudeva, was living, whereas Kuntidevi was a widow, and there was none to help her except Krsna

- Try to remain a devotee always, and Krsna will give you protection in all circumstance. There is no fear. Devotees, they remain devotee of Krsna, and Krsna does everything
W
- We cannot order the Supreme Personality of Godhead to do anything for us. We can simply offer Him our obeisances, as advised in Bhagavad-gita (man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru (BG 18.65)), and pray to Him for annihilation of dangers
- We should always pray, "Krsna, kindly save me from the pitfalls of maya." He'll do it. But if we want to cheat Krsna and cheat guru, then you'll be cheated. That's all. The guru will not be cheated, neither Krsna will be cheated. You'll be cheated
- We should not believe one thing that Krsna says or does and reject another; if belief is there, it must be full belief
- We should try our best to our best capacity, and victory will come from Krishna. We should never sit idly and ask Krishna to do everything

- Whatever He is doing, that is all-good. This is one side. And whatever I am doing without authority's order, this is all bad
- Whatever Krsna does, that is for our benefit
- Whatever Krsna likes, He'll do. You cannot oblige Him, that "You have to do it." No. That is karma-mimamsa, that "If good work gives good result, so why should we care for Krsna? We shall do the good work." Ordinary people, they think like that
- When a devotee is present, Krsna, by His omnipresent energies, will manifest Himself anywhere and everywhere, but when His devotee is not there, He will not do this. There are many instances of this
- When He (Krsna) descends on the material world by His causeless mercy to different living beings, He does so by His own potency. He is not subject to any condition of the material modes of nature, and He descends as He is originally
- When He does something, He desires only. By His desires, the energies are there. Immediately the energy works. Just like you have got some energy. If you desire, immediately it begins to work. You have got experience
