- Devaki said - My dear Lord, Your eternal forms, like Narayana, Lord Rama, Sesa, Varaha, Nrsimha, Vamana, Baladeva, and millions of similar incarnations emanating from Visnu, are described in the Vedic literature as original
- Devaki said - Such (self-effulgent, changeless and uncontaminated by the material qualities) eternal forms (of Lord Visnu) are ever-cognizant and full of bliss; they are situated in transcendental goodness and are always engaged in different pastimes
- Devaki said - You (Lord Visnu) are original because all Your forms as incarnations are outside of this material creation. Your form was existing before this cosmic manifestation was created
- Devaki said - You are not limited to a particular form only; all such transcendental, eternal forms are self-sufficient. I can understand that You are the Supreme Lord Visnu

- He (Dhruva Maharaja) said, svamin krtartho 'smi varam na yace: (CC Madhya 22.42) My dear Lord, I am fully satisfied with whatever You have given me or not given me. I have nothing to ask from You, for I am fully satisfied to be engaged in Your service
- He (Prahlada Maharaja) went on to say: I am not very anxious about living in this material world. I have no anxiety for myself because somehow or other I have been trained to be Krsna conscious always
I
- In reply (Lord Caitanya), Ramananda Raya said - I do not think I have anything to say beyond this, but there is a topic known as prema-vilasa-vivarta, which I may explain to You. I do not know whether it will bring You happiness or not
- In the Hari-bhakti-sudhodaya (14.36), a devotee says: My Lord, O Supreme, simply by understanding You or seeing You, the pleasure which we derive is so great that the pleasure of brahmananda becomes insignificant
- It is recorded in Srimad-Bhagavatam that Maharaja Dhruva sought out the Supreme Lord because he wanted to get some land, but when he finally saw Krsna, he said, "I am so pleased, I don't want anything"

- Prahlada Maharaja, while praying to Lord Nrsimha, said, O my Lord, I am very much afraid of the materialistic way of life, and I am not the least afraid of Your present ghastly ferocious feature as Nrsimhadeva
- Prahlada said: In the Age of Kali, O Mahapurusa, You sometimes appear in a covered incarnation (Caitanya). Therefore You are known as Tri-yuga - one who appears in only three yugas
- Prahlada said: My Lord, You kill all the enemies of the world in Your multifarious incarnations in the families of men, animals, demigods, rsis, aquatics and so on. Thus You illuminate the worlds with transcendental knowledge
T
- The devotee says, "My dear Lord, O lotus-eyed one, when will that day come when on the bank of the Yamuna, I shall become just like a madman and continue to chant Your holy name while incessant tears flow from my eyes"
- The devotee says, "My dear Lord, when shall that day come when You will ask me to fan Your body, and according to Your pleasure, You will say, 'You just fan Me in this way'"
- The King of the elephants, Gajendra, said, adhyatmika-yoga-gamyam, indicating that unless one is situated on this transcendental platform (bhakti-yoga), one cannot approach the Supreme Lord
- The pure devotee, when he is distressed, says - Dear Lord, this is Your kindness. You have put me into distress just to rectify me. I should be put in much greater distress, but out of Your mercy You have minimized this

- Vasudeva said - although You (Krsna) appear as a child in the womb of Devaki, You are also existing outside. You are always in Your abode, but still You can simultaneously expand Yourself into millions of forms
- Vasudeva said - Although You (Krsna) appear to be within the material energy, You are never covered by it
- Vasudeva said - My dear Lord (Krsna), it is not very wonderful that You appeared within the womb of Devaki, for the creation was also made in that way
- Vasudeva said - One has to understand Your (Krsna's) appearance with great intelligence because the material energy is also emanating from You. You are the original source of the material energy, just as the sun is the source of the sunshine
- Vasudeva said - The material body is nothing but a combination of the five gross elements - namely earth, water, fire, air and ether
- Vasudeva said - The sunshine cannot cover the sun globe, nor can the material energy - being an emanation from You (Krsna) - cover You
- Vasudeva said - Whenever there is a material body, it appears that such elements (namely earth, water, fire, air and ether) are newly created, but actually the elements are always existing outside of the body
- Vasudeva said - You (Krsna) appear to be in the three modes of material energy, but actually the three modes of material energy cannot cover You. This is understood by the highly intellectual philosophers
- Vasudeva said - You (Krsna) expanded Yourself as Ksirodakasayi Visnu and entered into the heart of all living entities and entered even within the atoms. Therefore Your entrance into the womb of Devaki is understandable in the same way
- Vasudeva said - You (Krsna) were lying in the Causal Ocean as Maha-Visnu, and by Your breathing, innumerable universes came into existence. Then You entered into each of the universes as Garbhodakasayi Visnu
- Vasudeva said - You appear (Krsna) to have entered, but You are simultaneously all-pervading. We can understand Your entrance and nonentrance from material examples. The total material energy remains intact even after being divided into sixteen elements

- When Lord appeared before Dhruva Maharaja to give him benediction he refused it by saying, svamin krtartho'smi varam na yace - Now I am fully satisfied. I do not want any material benediction. (Hari-bhakti-sudhodaya 7.28) This is the perfection of life
- When Sanatana Gosvami presented himself before Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, he said - I am always in association with lower-class people, and my behavior is therefore very abominable
- When the Lord is unhappy because of the condition of the fallen souls, the devotee consoles Him, saying, "My dear Lord, do not be in anxiety." This is service
- While offering prayers to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Nrsimhadeva, Prahlada Maharaja said: balasya neha saranam pitarau nrsimha, nartasya cagadam udanvati majjato nauh
